The local premiere is a fresh resuscitation of the musical comedy that opened on Broadway in 2007 as a spinoff of Brooks’ acclaimed 1974 film with Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman.
There wasn't a full moon outside The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts last night, but inside, comic lunacy both lurched and reigned supreme with the debut of a new touring show of “The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein.”
The new cast and crew for a new tour of a recent hit Broadway show had two weeks of rehearsals in New York City.
"Young Frankenstein" is an early Halloween treat in Utica. The first performances of a nationwide tour wrapped up Wednesday night at the Stanley Threatre.
